SILENCE|BEYOND was formed in London in 2014: an instrumental quartet created to explore and go beyond the boundaries between different genres of music. Each of us has a background that combines a love of classical music with the art of improvisation.  A pretty rare combination. Writing to mix styles  in contemporary jazz, traditional folk and blues, with melodic, expansive forms, we want to go beyond what's familiar and what's already been said by others. Working with producer Robert Strauss has given voice to compositions which are lyrical and dark, improvised but still within a strong structure, and which leave room for the listener's  visual imagination.....
